John W. Carter

John is an associate attorney at Abom & Kutulakis, L.L.P. and practices in the criminal defense area.

While at the Dickinson School of Law, John worked as an intern at the Dauphin County Public Defender’s Office and as a certified legal intern at the Cumberland County District Attorney’s Office. While at the District Attorney’s Office, he prosecuted summary offenses and drafted appeals to the Pennsylvania Superior and Supreme Courts. John was a member of the National Trial Team and was a regional finalist. He was also inducted into the prestigious Order of Barristers.

Prior to Law School, John completed 20 years of active duty service in the United States Air Force. His final assignment was as a Managed Care Policy Analyst at the Air Force Surgeon General’s Office in Washington D.C. implementing the Department of Defense Tricare Program. He then became a consultant in healthcare management and healthcare information systems in the private sector.

John resides in Carlisle with his wife Elizabeth.
